The Myth of One Africa

This is a scientifically settled fact that 100,000 years ago, 100 years, 100,000 years ago, the San people were settled here in the southern Africa, in particular in the South African mainland of the Karoo, the Kalahari desert. Science also proves that in that period, 100,000 years ago, there was minimum or zero contact with the rest of Africa. And therefore, the political notions, the post-colonial ideologies coming from Africa by West African leaders like Kwame Nkrumah, that Africa was one entity, is false.
And if it is false, then why should we talk about it? Maybe we are talking about the future. But we know that history is the maker of the future. History is the maker of the future.
You can't just start something from the air. There must be a base. If you look at the American system, why America is a superpower? The American superpower comes from Britain.
Britain has been a superpower. And the reason that we have a British empire that defined the whole world. The world, as you know, it was much defined by the British empire, the British empire, its kings and queens.
What made Britain? Britain was made by the Roman Empire. And after the Roman Empire, you have the Greek civilisations. So if you talk about the future of one Africa, you must base that on history.
And when you look at the history of Africa, there was no such a thing called one Africa. I'm stretching it back to 100,000 years ago, where South Africa was not part of Africa. South Africa was a separate territory, unique to the rest of Africa.
And you go to the rest of Africa. Science tells us Africans are the most diverse people. There's no such a thing called Africans, one people.
There's never such a thing. They are diverse as diverse can be. Science also tells us we find that some African tribes are even much similar to some people in Europe or in Asia than the other Africans in Africa.
Now, I come to the idea of the common idea of Pan-Africanism. Many people have tried to define what Pan-Africanism is, but we don't have to labour and start in discussions and debates what is Pan-Africanism. All what we have to do is to go back to the source, the person who promulgated the idea of Pan-Africanism, which is the source is Kwame Nkrumah.
This is a man who said Pan-Africanism is about having one Africa, one borderless Africa that is lying at the heart of Pan-Africanism. One borderless, monstrous continent called Africa. Now, think about that.
In this day and age, where human societies have evolved into modern societies defined by country, and a country is a territory with borders. And here comes an African idea that we must cancel borders, we must cancel countries and talk about continents. Now, that is not civilisation.
That is not human progress. That is human backwardness. It's a barren idea.
It's a defective idea. It's anti-civilisation, anti-development, anti-progress. Even a child will tell you there can never be such a thing.
Yet Africans are talking about it, they go to conferences, they spend all the time in the African Union talking about one Africa, one borderless Africa. Where will that thing emerge? Where? Historically, there was never such a thing. And currently, you can see, just think about currently.
I've told you about the history. There's no such a thing. And currently, they can never, current situation, the current systems in Africa, cannot imagine one Africa.
Even in, just take one country, Nigeria. Why we don't have pan-Nigerian in Nigeria? Nigeria has many tribes that are fighting each other, killing each other every day. You have the Yorubas fighting the Igbos, that the Igbos must not come to live in Yoruba land.
You have the Fulani going to Igbo lands, and there they are killing Igbos. You have the houses who think that they must dominate the politics of Nigeria. It's just a mess.
It's upside down. Nigeria is about divisions. So a small territory like Nigeria, Africans cannot form one Nigeria, yet they want to form one Africa.
That's madness. That is unthinking, right? Look at how Ghana and Nigerians fight each other. There's no unity within West Africa.
Yet they want the whole of, you see, before you can talk about 1,000 miles, you must be able to walk at least half a mile. Africans cannot walk half a mile, but yet they talk about 1,000 miles. That is unthinking.
It's not based on common sense. Most of the things that Africans talk about, they're not based on science or common sense. They just say them, say Pan-Africanism.
Where will Pan-Africanism match in this modern day of human societies? You can look now, the common trend in all the world is that migrants must be banned. America is rising up to build a wall, to be its own, not part of Pan-America. Britain has gotten itself out of European Union, and most of the European Union countries, they are fighting migration, that this is our country, we don't need other people.
Because what? What wins the day is a country that is easy to manage, and a country has its own people. Next, we dwell on the issue of African Renaissance. Renaissance from what? The word Renaissance means reawakening.
You have fallen, now you wake up again. That's a renaissance. Where did, was there ever civilisation in Africa before colonisation? I don't know.
All I know about the African history is about slavery, about cannibalism, about brutality, about savages who kill other people, and they kill people, they cook them and eat human beings. They go out in the forests, in the bushes, in the villages, and catch people, and then they fasten those people, and then they sell them as slaves. That's the history that we know.
It's documented. So why must we just listen to you saying things like that? I have no basis. We must ignore documented evidence.
This is the history. Like a historian Roper from Oxford University, he says much of what is in Africa is just, much of what is called history in Africa is just, it's just darkness. There was a historian, social historian from Poland who came here and visited Africa, went up and down the African countries. His name is Joseph Conrad.
And after coming, after doing that, he wrote a book and called Africa the heart of darkness. So where will, there was never African renaissance. There was slavery in Africa, there was cannibalism in Africa, there was brutality in Africa, there was savages in Africa.
